Gary began employment at Hoem and Associates in 2008. Prior to that he has been involved in all the phases of the floor finish industry, both residential and commercial, since 1971. After 22 years as an installer, he shifted to the sales side of the business. He continued to perform installations regularly until 2010. Since then, due to the strength of the Hoem and Associates business model and success, he has focused only on commercial flooring estimating and project management. He has happily taken on the problem solving responsibilities that come with being a project manager.
He manages large customer facility accounts at the campuses of Genentech and Google in addition to working with larger property management companies throughout the SF Bay Area. He is very comfortable working directly with Architects, Designers, Owners, and General Contractors.
Gary has been involved with flooring for 47 years. If you need someone that cares more than you do about a project, he is your guy.
He is a third generation flooring professional, handed down from his grandfather to his father and two uncles. He shares his life with a wonderful wife of 42 years, four daughters, and 7 grandchildren (thus far). They all share a family meal together every Saturday.
